Today, I wish to congratulate the Youth of Tonga as they celebrate and commemorate International Youth Day 2024. This year’s theme focuses on the topic “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”.
On July 31st, 2024, we had the honour of hosting Ms. Erika Moritsugu, Deputy Assistant to President Biden and First Asian American & Pacific Islander Senior Liaison for the White House, for a virtual talanoa / dialogue with ten Take the Lead Youth Leaders from our She Leads Parliament Alumni.

Lord Fakafanua, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, is currently in Jakarta, Indonesia to participate in the 2nd Indonesian Pacific Parliamentary Partnerships (IPPP) Meeting from 24-27 July 2024. The meeting is hosted at the invitation of the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, HE Hon. Dr. Puan Maharani, under the theme "Partnership for Prosperity: Fostering Regional Connectivity."
