His Majesty King Tupou VI has appointed Rt. Hon. Lord Tangi as the Interim Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga, effective from Saturday 20 November 2021.

NINE successful Noble Representatives to the Legislative Assembly to serve in the next four years has been announced.

Her Royal Highness Princess Latufuipeka Tuku’aho today officially opened the Tonga Women’s Parliament 2021. In Her Royal Highness’s remarks, which was delivered virtually, she highlighted the need for more women participation in politics.
