THE Legislative Assembly last night passed a Bill for an Act to Appropriate Moneys to the Service of Government 2014/2015.
TOP$302.7 million is the total appropriation for the service of Government.
22 members of the House unanimously voted in favour to pass the National Budget for the next financial year.
From 23 Government votes, 18 were discussed by the House yesterday before they approved the Appropriation Money Bill for the Service of Government.
In order to pass the National Budget before July 1st 2014, Parliament also sits from 6pm until about 10:30pm last night.
Today, the House is considering five other emergency Government Bills.
That includes the Commissioner for Public Relations (Amendment) Bill 2014, Electoral (Amendment) Bill 2014, Electoral Boundaries Commission (Amendment) Bill 2014, Legislative Assembly (Amendment) Bill 2014 and the Tonga Development Bank Bill 2014.
