BOTH secondary and primary school teachers in Ha’apai want a follow up school visitation programme from the Parliamentary Education Team in order to strengthen and deepen their knowledge and understanding  the roles and functions of Parliament.

THE Legislative Assembly of Tonga is to host the first ever Parliament Week in the Kingdom from Monday, October 6 – Friday, October 10, 2014, which aims at furthering students and the general public’s knowledge on how Parliament works and the role that it plays in the governance of Tonga.

THE Legislative Assembly of Tonga’s current session, the last of the parliamentary term 2010-2014, will be officially closed next Thursday 11th September at 10:30am in a soft closing ceremony in Nuku‘alofa by a commission of three Nobles.

HIS Majesty King Tupou VI will officially open the last session of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga for parliamentary term 2010-2014 this Thursday, June 5.
