All media personnel are expected to abide by the following guidelines. Non-compliance may result in denial of access to, or eviction from, the Legislative Assembly of Tonga premises. There is limited seating available within the Parliament chambers and access wil1 be regulated accordingly.
1. All media personnel who wish to attend the above event are required to notify the Office of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga no later than 4.30pm on Friday 15th December 2017. All notifications to be conveyed to Heti Fifita Lui who can be reached at telephone 23 565. Each request should provide the name of the person to attend.
2. On Monday 18th December 2017, all media personnel who have given notification of attendance will access the premises using the main gate where the security post is located. Name and matching identification to be provided to the security guard who will in turn provide a media pass. All media personnel to be posted at their allocated places within the premises no later than 9:00am.
3. The dress code for all media personnel is full Tongan attire. Women are to required to also wear a jacket and ta'ovala (not kiekie).
4. All mobile phones to be turned off when entering the parliament chambers.
5. No disruption whatsoever is allowed during the meeting. No communication with the Elected Representatives are allowed inside the parliament chambers whilst the meeting is In progress.
