THE new Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA) was this morning sworn in as a Cabinet member when the Legislative Assembly reconvenes this morning.
In her oath Losaline Ma’asi pledges her allegiance to the King and the Constitution of Tonga. She also make a pledge to execute her best for the good of Tonga.
This is a normal parliamentary process, especially when a Member is appointed to a new ministerial portfolio.
Losaline Ma’asi was appointed as the new Minister, replacing the ousted Minister ‘Akosita Lavulavu who resigned from her ministerial position.
The Acting Speaker Lord Tu’ilakepa wishes Ma’asi all the best for the new position entrusted to her by the Prime Minister and the country as a whole.
