PARLIAMENT MEETS TO CONSIDER THE MOTION FOR A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN THE PRIME MINISTER

The Legislative Assembly of Tonga will meet on Tuesday 5 September, at 10:00am to consider the Motion for a Vote of No Confidence in the Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku. The Motion was submitted by the Member of Parliament representing Tongatapu 5, Hon. Dr ‘Aisake Eke. The Hon. Prime Minister’s Written Reply to the grounds of the Motion was received by the Office of the Speaker of Parliament, Lord Fakafanua, on Friday 1 September 2023. The Motion and the Written Reply from the Hon. Prime Minister will be read out in Parliament before the Members begin deliberations on the Motion.

The Assembly’s meeting will be livestreamed on the Legislative Assembly’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.
