THE Chairman of the Committee of the Whole House, Lord Tu'ilakepa, has ordered two of the People's Representatives to vacate the Legislative Assembly today according to Rule 49 of the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga.

The People's Representative of Tongatapu 7 and the 'Eua 11 constituency were both subject to sanctions for their behavior within the legislative chamber.

The representative from 'Eua 11 was ordered to vacate the Chamber of the Legislative Assembly for half a day.

In a more severe measure, the People's Representative of Tongatapu 7 was directed to leave the Assembly for a full day.

The decision by Lord Tu'ilakepa today follows his decision last week that saw the Prime Minister and the Tongatapu 5 People’s Representative ordered to vacate the chamber for less than an hour.

Rule 49 of the Rules of Procedure provides guidelines regarding non-compliance with the Rules.
